PEAS schools are run by Africans for Africans.
Our schools and country offices have always been fully staffed and led by Africans. 98% of our global staff are African. PEAS Board of Trustees is majority African and over 50% of our trustees are women.
We are proud of what we have achieved but are taking a deliberate approach to do more.
We do this by taking accountability for our high performance, challenging ourselves and each other to continually improve and support one another.
We employ around 1,000 school staff including teachers, school leaders and school support staff across our two school networks in Uganda and Zambia. In our country offices, we employ around 60 people in roles such as education, quality assurance, safeguarding, MEL, finance, people and culture, advocacy and procurement.
In the UK, we have a small team focused on supporting the teams in Uganda and Zambia with everything from technical to fundraising support.
PEAS is pleased to launch this request for technical and financial proposal for: “SmartOps: Developing an electronic system that integrates HR, Finance and Procurement of PEAS Office and School Systems” (RFP No. PEAS-GL-2024/001).

The system will be affordable; easy to use for trained users; configurable to support our current and evolving business needs; and able to easily generate data, reports, graphics, and analyses needed for internal decision making or external reporting.
PEAS has prepared two key documents for this RFP:
Responses to questions

If you have any more questions, these can still be submitted via email to tender@peas.org.uk. Although PEAS is under no obligation to respond to questions submitted after the specified deadline, PEAS may respond. Any responses will be shared with other suppliers via a further release of questions and PEAS responses.
Submission instructions
Only electronic submission of responses to this RFP will be permitted. All responses should be submitted in English via email to tender@peas.org.uk by Wednesday 7th August 2024, at 17:00 BST.
